Get to know us

Liz and Mikaela have worked side by side since early 2019, building a pediatric program within the medical environment. We quickly became best friends and co-therapists, working together to provide the best therapy with minimal harm and serve the greater Trenton community through our genuine love of the families that we serve. In 2024 it was time for a change. We were done being limited in our capabilities, and structural changes encouraged us to seek the opportunity to take a deep dive and open what we had previously thought was just a dream - our own private pediatric practice! The possibilities are now endless and we are here to provide even more support to the region’s families and children who need us.

Why Us?

We are the only free-standing and/or pediatric-focused therapy center within a 75 mile radius or greater.

We are mothers of neurodivergent children ourselves! We’ve been through the struggles with our own children - from behaviors, to medication management, to IEP’s and 504’s. From socks feeling “wrong” to impulsivity and school struggles. From people “not understanding” us or our children, to advocating for our own children. WE GET IT. And we’re here to support you too.

We’re not just here for therapy. Although that is what we do best! We are also here to attend IEP meetings with you when you need us, lead parent support groups, “steal” your kids for a fun camp or special event activity hosted by our facility, pick up the phone and talk when you are struggling at home, and to overall just be your safe place.

Liz Lawinger, MOTR/L, ASDCS

Liz is a wife and a mom of 4 kids. They live in Gallatin, Missouri, although Liz has worked and served in the Trenton community as an OT since 2010 with a focus on pediatrics. Her home is full of neurodiversity as she has 3 kids who are neurodiverse (ADHD, Autism, Anxiety) and a husband who is as well! She loves being involved in school and community events and cooking/baking for family and friends.

Mikaela Ledford, CCC-SLP, ASDCS, ADHD-CCSP

Mikaela is a wife and a mom of 3 girls. They live in Trenton and Mikaela has served in the Trenton community as a Speech-Language Pathologist since early 2019 with a focus on pediatrics. Mikaela’s oldest daughter has a diagnosis of ADHD and is on an IEP at school for additional services, her husband has ADHD as well. She loves to camp and tend to all of her cats, dogs and chickens.
