Neurodiversity affirming practices
What are neurodiversity affirming practices?
The term “neurodiversity” is another way of recognizing that each brain is different - and that it is normal! Each brain has its own strengths and weaknesses - which is what makes each of us unique. It’s the same as one owner having brown eyes and the other having blue. This being said, some “weaknesses” are more impactful than others on an individual’s daily life. That doesn’t mean that they need “fixed”; they may just need more SUPPORT. By being a neurodiversity affirming practice, we also publicly admit that we don’t know it all. We don’t know how a person with Autism feels about every treatment plan we design. We don’t know how a person with ADHD might react to our environment. And that is why we seek out the lived experiences of adults who are of those communities who are able to communicate what it is like to be in those shoes. We look to them to know how to address hyperactivity, or sensitivities to sound, or how to help children and their families who experience behaviors as the result of ineffective communication. And we do our best to tailor our treatments, based on this feedback, in order to avoid doing harm.

Ask your doctor for a referral to Triumph Therapies, LLC in Trenton, MO. They can fax their orders to us at 660-717-2664.
Ask your doctor to print off a copy of your referral for you.
Bring your referral in to Triumph Therapies LLC
Address: 811 Main, Trenton MO.
Now would be a great time to ask us any questions you may have. If we are not available at the time that your drop off your form,
Please feel free to call us at 660-219-9122.
Call any time - leave us a message if we are unavailable and we will return your call as soon as we can.
When you bring your referral, please also bring us your insurance card or a copy of it.
If you left us with your insurance information, we will call the companies to verify your benefits.
We try to do this as quickly as possible, but some insurances are more difficult to contact and it may take us a couple of days.
We will call you to schedule!
Once insurance has been verified, we will call you to discuss scheduling, insurance coverages, payments, and answer any questions that you may have.
Some insurances require that we complete an evaluation and then submit paperwork prior to the next visit. This can delay the first treatment session by a few days, but usually is able to be completed fairly quickly. In this case, we will call you prior to your first treatment session and let you know that we are (or when we will be) good-to-go!
Come see us!
Come to your appointment and get ready to enjoy all of the fun and support we provide!
